A cancer diagnosis can be extremely traumatic. It tends to come out of the blue, bringing ground-shifting shock and demands challenging decisions to be made around treatment options and the impact on family and friends.
These confronting feelings may remain in the body and mind, persisting long beyond treatment and return to wellness.

I work with people who hold the trauma of the diagnosis, the distressing medical interventions or are dealing with challenging physical change and loss.
Treatments that save one’s life yet bring irreversible physical change can result in complex emotions of grief, anger and anxiety which feel at odds with the relief of a return to wellness.
These emotions can remain ‘unprocessed’ and the body may retain the memory of trauma.
Through respectful touch and sensitivity, these stories can be gently processed and released, often without words. The body will know what is needed.
I work with utmost sensitivity; listening to your body’s responses to feel into areas that hold distress as a result of injury or illness. It is a gentle, unhurried approach which encourages emotional relaxation and balance. There is no hurry, the body responds when it feels safe and ready.
Your experience is unique so there is no specific ‘oncology massage’. Each of the Facial and Body Treatments I offer will be adapted to benefit you.
